The New 3Rs in Oregon… and beyond

This 22-minute DVD and discussion guide chronicles Oregon’s breakthrough Rights, Respect, Responsibility initiative and the great successes it has achieved in just a few short years.

Interviews with health professionals, education specialists, policy officials, youth, Planned Parenthood educators and others showcase their enthusiasm about the values and vision of The New 3Rs – and demonstrate practical ways in which Rights, Respect, Responsibility has been effectively adapted in Oregon and in states across the country.

We Can Do Better is a useful tool for stimulating discussions about building an effective community response to issues such as teen pregnancy, adolescent sexual health, and safety.   Consider showing the DVD as part of an educational forum for parents, youth, religious leaders, educators, health care providers, public officials and others who are concerned with the well being of young people.  The package includes a guide to help facilitate discussion and adapt the information to your particular audience.
