What Does It Mean To Be an Advocate?
In
just a few short years, The New 3Rs: Rights, Respect, Responsibility initiative
has made important strides toward achieving our long-term vision.
As a New 3Rs Advocate, you can help build even greater momentum and impact
across the
state — and even across the nation. Oregon is increasingly seen as a
national leader in advancing a positive vision of adolescent sexual health.
An Advocate is a public supporter of The New 3Rs. Advocates are asked to lend the power of their names in support of The New 3Rs mission and goals.
Advocates include private and public organizations, agencies, and individuals who take measurable steps that influence public conversation and public policy about teen sexuality. View a list of our current Advocates.
Advocates can choose many ways to support the initiative. Some have co-sponsored or participated in events. Some have written, spoken, or made presentations on behalf of The New 3Rs. Most importantly, many have incorporated The New 3Rs vision into their ongoing work/agency activities or their personal interactions with youth.
Even small actions can make an enormous difference. We urge you to consider how The New 3Rs philosophy is already reflected in your current activities or your organization’s mission.
Please join us in this exciting campaign. When you sign up to become a New 3Rs Advocate, you will be part of a dynamic, rewarding, breakthrough movement that is creating a positive future while making a difference in the lives of young people today!
